HISTORY
Developed from the market gardening and farming community, Lyne continues to maintain a green and rural feel, surrounded by woodland and farmland.

Although there are no longer any local stores, the village hall and common land is regularly used for a number of community events and the local Royal Marine, public house proves very popular. The picturesque Church has been used in a number of television shows and the school has an excellent reputation.

Most of the housing stock is at the higher end of the local market, being mainly detached property with large gardens and rural aspects.
